
What is a Cherry Angioma?
Cherry angiomas are common, benign skin growths made up of tiny blood vessels that appear as bright red or purple spots on the skin. They are harmless, non-cancerous, and become more common with age.

Color: Bright red, cherry-red, or sometimes purplish.

Size: Usually 1-5 mm in diameter, through they can grow larger

Shape: Round or oval; may be flat or slightly raise (dome-shaped)

Texture: Smooth surface; often flat when small

Location: Most commonly found on the chest, abdomen, back, arms, shoulders, and neck: rarely appear on the palms or soles.
What Causes Cherry Angiomas?
Although their exact cause is unknown, cherry angiomas are commonly associated with:
